Job Title : Java Software Developer

Reports to : Software Development Manager
Summary
The role of the software developer is to design, develop and implement code and to contribute to the overview of the project on the application level rather than component level or individual programming tasks.
Responsibilities
- Production of high quality, maintainable code.
- Writing, maintaining and documenting unit and integration tests.
- Documentation of new and modified functionality.
- Performance of peer code reviews and analysis.
Requirements
Essential - 2 to 5 years of commercial, J2EE experience (must be recent).
- Good web development (html, JavaScript, css) and database (SQL, relational theory) skills.
- Excellent organization, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work both collaboratively and with limited supervision.
- Knowledge of source control packages, in particular cvs and svn.
- Familiarity with unit testing techniques, in particular using JUnit.
Desirable - University degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- Experience of JBoss, Spring (dependency injection, mvc, webflow, etc), EJB2, EJB3, AOP.
- Experience of working in an agile development environment.
- Experience of high performance, high availability systems.
- Knowledge of current trends in Java / awareness of popular open source projects.
- Knowledge of other languages (Groovy, C#, Ruby, Python, etc).
- Knowledge of build processes: ant, maven, continuous integration.
- Experience of the iGaming industry.
