Summary
We are currently looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join our growing Network Systems team. We need someone who has exceptional troubleshooting and customer service skills and is experienced at providing support in a multi-operating system environment (MS Windows, Mac and Linux).
Responsibilities
- Provide computer systems troubleshooting and support.
- Provide timely and consistent support, acknowledging and recording all incidents and requests.
- Monitor and escalate requests as required.
- Handle network and desktop setup for new employees/office moves.
- Create documentation for users, new environments and issue logs.
- Manage hardware inventory
- Additional projects as required.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in a desktop support role
- Related education/certification
- Working knowledge of:
- MS Windows 7/2003/XP
- TCP/IP and associated services (e.g., DNS, DHCP)
- PC hardware/software
- Active Directory
- Exchange Server 2003
- MAC and Linux Support Experience
- Blackberry, IP Telephones
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
- A strong sense of responsibility and initiative and an ability to complete tasks accurately
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Excellent English verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work the occasional evening and weekend as required
- Some physical lifting/server racking required
