Sport-specific Rules
Match Betting: Where one team competes against another, you must predict the winning team. Overtime counts except for bets on Half Time/Full Time. Outright bets: All bets stand, provided at least 55 minutes of play has taken place and an official result is declared. Games do not have to complete all minutes of play for bets to stand. Games are official for betting purposes according to the following: Proposition Bets: In the event of a game being abandoned all bets are void (where applicable), unless a result is already determined through the course of play that has taken place. For player prop markets the player(s) in question must start the game for bets to stand. All proposition bets are singles only. Quarter and Half Markets: For bets based on the specific quarters or halves the entire period of play must be played unless the result is already determined. For any second half markets overtime is also included if played. The fourth quarter does not include overtime. Abandoned or Postponed games are void unless played within the same scheduling week. 1st Offensive Play- If the quarterback is sacked on the 1st Offensive play of the game this is deemed to be a passing play. Handicap Betting: The method used for settling such a bet is the match result adjusted by the handicap line available at the time the bet is struck. E.g. Baltimore Ravens +3 v Chicago Bears -3. Result: Baltimore Ravens 27-34 Chicago Bears. Chicago Bears wins on the handicap as they won by 7 clear points and the handicap was 3. In the event of the scores being level following the handicap being applied all stakes are refunded (where applicable)
Half-Time/Full-Time : Bets placed on the Half-Time/Full-Time market for American Football do NOT include Overtime.
Outright Betting: Betting on a selection to win the race/event. The final medals table will be used to settle bets on how many medals a country will win. Any subsequent changes to the medals table will not be taken into consideration. In the event of a disqualification, the medals ceremony will count as the 'weigh-in' and this will determine settlement. In the absence of a medals ceremony bets will be settled on a 'first past the post' basis. All athletics events are subject to Rule 4 (unless otherwise stated). All bets on a non-runner will be void and stakes refunded. For the Olympic Games all events will be settled on the official I.O.C. results. For all other athletics all events will be settled on the official I.A.A.F. results.
Any abandonment, postponement or matches rescheduled to another day are void. Half-time/full-time betting and correct scores are not accepted. Any bets taken in error will be made void. Second Half Injury Board: If no board is shown by the fourth official, bets will be made void.
Bandy matches must go at least 80mins to be considered valid, otherwise all bets will be considered void.
- Match Betting: Where one team competes against another, you must predict the winning team.
- Outright: To win the overall tournament or event.
- Extra innings if played will count in all markets without exception.
- Where odds for both match and handicap betting are published, unless the handicap or a qualifying price has been requested, all bets will be settled at the match odds. However, where only handicap betting is available, bets will be settled at the published handicap whether requested or not.
- Listed Pitchers: If baseball betting is offered on the basis of both listed pitchers starting the game, then both pitchers must start the game and throw at least one pitch for bets to stand. If either pitcher fails to start the game for any reason, the bet will be deemed void and the stakes will be returned.
- Side and Prop Betting: If a game is suspended, winners and losers for betting are official after at least five innings of play or four and a half innings if the home team is winning. If a game is suspended, the winner is determined by the score after the last full inning. Unless the home team scores to tie, or takes the lead in the bottom half on the inning, in which case the winner is determined by the score at the time that the game is suspended. If the home team ties the game and it is then suspended, stakes will be refunded.
- Totals Betting: When betting on total runs (over/under), the game must go to nine innings (eight and a half if the home team is ahead) unless the result is already determined.
- Run line Betting: When betting on run lines, the game must go to 9 innings (eight and a half if the home team is ahead) for bets to stand.
- For player match up bets, all the quoted players must compete in the game for bets to stand.
- If the outcome of a 2 runner event is a tie, draw or exactly the number of quoted points and no price is offered for this outcome, then the result is void. When this occurs, the settlement of single bets is to return stakes and for multiple bets the selection is treated as a non runner and the bet will be settled on the remaining selections.
- Innings Runs betting: The full inning must be completed for bets to stand unless further play could not affect the result.
Match Betting: Where one team competes against another, you must predict the winning team. If a match is abandoned after play has started, handicap, total points and special match bets are void, unless a winning market has already been established, in which case bets will stand. Outright win bets stand provided that 43 minutes of an NBA match have been played or 35 minutes of a NCAA match and an official result is declared. Overtime counts for outright win, handicap, total points, second half betting and special match betting for all NBA and NCAA matches but not for bets on the winning margin. Overtime does not count for any markets offered on European basketball matches, other than to win outright. Postponed match: All bets void. The first quarter must be completed for first quarter bets to stand. Likewise, the first half must be completed for first half bets to stand.
Match Betting: Where one boxer competes against their opponent, you must predict the winner between the two. Round by Round Betting: If for any reason a points decision is awarded before the full number of rounds are completed, or a boxer is disqualified, bets will be settled on the round in which the fight was stopped. Bets which nominate to win on points will only be deemed winners if the full number of rounds are completed. If for any reason the selected number of rounds on which we are betting is changed, all round by round bets will be void. If a boxer withdraws during the period between rounds the fight is deemed to have ended in the previous round. The bell will signal the end of a round and the bell being sounded again will signal the start of the next round. A fight is defined as having started once the bell is sounded for the beginning of the first round. In the event of a no contest being declared all bets will be made void. A price will be offered for a draw and in the event of that occurring bets on either boxer to win will be lost. Outright bets are settled on the result as declared in the ring and are not subject to any revisions or amendments made after the boxers have left the ring. Should there be a withdrawal or a substitution of one of the boxers concerned, bets will be void.
In the event of a match in a knockout competition starting but not being completed the player progressing will be deemed the winner. However set betting will be void. In the event of a league match starting but not being completed set betting will be void but outright betting will be settled on the official competition rules. Set/Leg/Handicap/Special Betting: The full number of sets/legs required to win the match must be achieved. In cases that the match is awarded to a contestant before this is achieved, the set/leg/handicap/special bets on the match will be void, unless further play could not affect the result. Match Betting: As long as at least one leg has been completed all match bets will stand on the official result.
- The number of moves in a game is considered to be the number of valid moves made by the white pieces.
- Singles and upwards accepted. At least one ball must be bowled in play after a bet is struck for any bet to stand.
- All tournament and match markets will be settled on the official tournament results/match scorecards listed on ICC website. If there is no result available, then the website www.cricinfo.com will be used for settlement purposes.
- Limited Overs Matches: Match bets will be settled according to the winner determined by official competition rules (including the case where matches are shortened due to adverse weather conditions or decided a bowl off), unless the winner is determined by the toss of a coin or the drawing of lots, in which case all match bets will be void.
- Limited Overs Matches : If the match is tied and the official competition rules do not determine a winner, dead heat rules will apply to bets on the outright result unless the outcome is settled by a bowl off or super over, in which case the result of the bowl off or super over will stand for match betting. If the competition rules determine the winner by a toss of a coin or drawing of lots, then bets will be void
- Limited Overs Matches : If a match is cancelled before any play has taken place, then all bets will be void, unless the match is replayed within 36 hours of its advertised start time, in this case the bets will stand.
- Test Matches & County Championship Matches: If a match is abandoned due to weather or any other reason before a ball has been bowled then all bets will be void
- Test Matches & County Championship Matches: If a match where we didn't offer a price for the draw ends in a draw then bets on the match result will be void

Bets on each of these markets stand regardless of the number of overs bowled. Bets placed on any player not in the starting 11 are void. Bets on players who are selected but do not bat will be deemed to have scored zero runs and those that do not bowl to have taken zero wickets.
- Top Team Runscorer (Series): All in play or not. If players score the same number of runs then dead heat rules will apply
- Top Team Wicket Taker (Series): All in play or not. In the event of players taking the same number of wickets, the winner will be determined as the bowler that has conceded the least number of runs, irrespective of overs bowled by each player. If it is still not possible to determine a winner then dead heat rules will apply
- Top Team Wicket Taker (Series): All in play or not. In the event of players taking the same number of wickets, the winner will be determined as the bowler that has conceded the least number of runs, irrespective of overs bowled by each player. If it is still not possible to determine a winner then dead heat rules will apply
In the event of a disqualification, the podium will count as the result for betting purposes on all markets. Non-Runners- Stakes will be refunded on riders withdrawn prior to the start of an event or stage. Cycling Head to Head: Head to Head will be settled upon the cyclist achieving the highest placing in the event/stage. In an event where one or both cyclists do not start the event/stage then bets will be deemed void. If both cyclists start but fail to finish a specific event/stage then bets will be deemed void. If both cyclists start a specific event/stage and only one fails to finish then the cyclist who completes the specific event/stage will be deemed the winner.
MATCH BETTING: All odds are subject to fluctuation and are based on the result at ‘full-time’ (the terms 'full-time', '90 minutes play' and 'normal time' are all used to denote the period of play which includes injury time but not scheduled extra time, penalty shoot-outs etc). MINIMUM SELECTIONS: Singles and upwards are accepted on all matches.
MAXIMUM SELECTIONS: There is no maximum limit to the number of 'home', ‘draw’ or 'away' selections allowed. POSTPONED OR ABANDONED MATCHES:
With the exception of an un-played, postponed or abandoned match; any bets will be made void for settling purposes unless it is played during the same 'football week' (Monday – Monday local time), in which case the bet will stand unless cancelled by both teams. If void matches reduce an accumulator, the bet will be settled on the remaining selections. Where a match is abandoned but a winning market has already been established, e.g. 'first player to score', 'time of first goal' etc, bets will stand. The same settlement will also apply to football stats/team performance/match action bets where a winning market has already been established. In each way bets on the first goalscorer, the place part of bets, on players who have not scored will be void if less than three goals have been scored at the time the match is abandoned. However, the place part of a bet on a player who has scored prior to the match being abandoned will be treated as a successful bet.
RE-ARRANGED MATCHES: In the event of a change of venue not being published or made known to us, bets will stand provided the venue is not switched to the opponent’s ground, in which case selections for that match will be made void. If a team plays a different opponent, that selection will be void. Any accumulator involving this selection will be settled on the remaining selections.
HANDICAP LIST: For the purpose of deciding results on the handicap list, one or more goals are added to the total goals scored by the away team. (NB. There may be occasions when the goal(s) start is given to the home team.) Settlement on the handicap list will be at the special odds quoted.
DOUBLE RESULT HALF-TIME/FULL-TIME BETTING: Bets predicting the double result must indicate the result at both half-time and full-time. Half-time/full-time betting is not available on Australian matches.
HALF-TIME COUPON: Bets must indicate the result at half-time. In the event of a match being abandoned prior to half-time, bets on this market will be declared void. Matches abandoned after half-time will not affect settlement of half-time coupon bets. The term '45 minutes play' denotes the period of play up to half-time, including any injury time.
CORRECT SCORES: Bets must predict the score at the end of 90 minutes. Extra time does not count.
FIRST GOALSCORER / LAST GOALSCORER: Every effort will be made to quote first goalscorer/last goalscorer odds for all possible participants. However, other players will always be quoted on request and will count as winners should they score the first/last goal. Bets on ‘first goalscorers’ that are substituted/sent off before the first goal is scored are treated as losing selections. Bets on players not taking part in the match will be void. Bets on ‘first goalscorer’ where the selection comes on after the first goal is scored will be void, unless the first goal is an own goal, in which case bets will stand. All players that take part in a match will be considered ‘runners’ for last goalscorer purposes. In the event of a dispute over the award of a goal, for betting purposes, settlement will be based on the goalscorer listed by the Press Association immediately after the match has finished. Any subsequent amendments to Press Association records will not count. Own goals do not count. Extra time does not count. Any last goalscorer selected in a match that is not completed will be void.
FIRST GOALSCORER – EACH WAY BETTING: Singles and upwards accepted. The place part of each way bets will be settled at one half the odds on the first, second and third goals. Players who do not score until after three goals have been scored, will be treated as losing selections. However, where one of the first three goals is an own goal then the bet will carry forward to the fourth goal and two own goals to the fifth goal etc. If less than three goals are scored then settlement will be based on the actual goals scored. Where no goals are scored all each way bets will be treated as losing selections. Where a player scores the first goal, both the win and place part of the bet are successful and will be settled at the appropriate win and place odds. If the same player scores the second or third goal no additional winnings will be paid. Where a player scores the second or third goal, the place part of the bet is successful. If the same player scores the second and third goals, no additional winnings will be paid for the third goal. Where the selection does not take part, or comes on after the first goal is scored, both the win and place part of the bet will be void, unless the first goal is an own goal, in which case bets will stand. Players that are substituted/sent off before the first goal is scored are treated as losing selections in both the win and place part of the bet. Each way bets on no goalscorer or last goalscorer are not accepted and if taken in error will be settled all up to win, i.e. the total stake will be invested as a win only bet. Each way selections are not accepted in first goalscorer/correct score doubles and if taken in error will be settled all up to win. Place only bets are not accepted and if taken in error will be settled as each way with the stake divided. Own goals do not count. Extra time does not count.
SCORECAST – FIRST GOALSCORER /CORRECT SCORE DOUBLE: If a player comes on after a goal has been scored or does not take part in the game, bets involving that player will be settled as a single on the selected correct score at the appropriate odds. For first goalscorer purposes, own goals do not count. If the only goals in the match are own goals, all bets will be settled as singles on the selected correct score at the appropriate odds. If the match is abandoned after a goal has been scored all bets will be settled as singles on the selected first goalscorer at the appropriate odds. Last goalscorer - correct score doubles are also accepted and will be settled at the odds advertised for first goalscorer - correct score doubles unless a separate price has been quoted for the last goalscorer.
ANYTIME SCORER: Bets predicting players to score at any time in their match. In the event of non-participants, singles will be void and accumulative bets will be settled on the remaining selections. Any selection taken from a match that is not completed (90 mins play) will be treated as a non runner. Own goals do not count.
MYTHICAL MATCHES: Bets predicting the result of an imaginary match. The result of the match will be decided by the number of goals scored by the teams in their actual fixtures. Singles and upwards accepted. Selections taken from a mythical match cannot be combined with any actual match involving the same team or their opponents. Where a team in an abandoned or postponed match is included, bets on the team and their opponent in the mythical match will be made void.
All bets are settled on 60/70 minutes play, which will include any added injury or stoppage time, but not extra time. Where odds for both match win and handicap betting are advertised, unless the handicap or a qualifying price has been requested all bets will be settled on the match win. However, where only handicap betting is available bets will be settled at the published handicap whether requested or not. Winning Margin Betting is from scratch. Bets will be accepted up to the actual throw in time. If a bet is inadvertently accepted which includes a match after its throw in time, the match will be treated as a non-runner. However, such bets will stand if accepted up to 5 minutes after throw in time, provided that no points had been scored at the time the bet was placed. Abandoned or postponed matches will be void with the exceptions of any betting propositions where the result could not be affected by further play
- Outright Betting: Non-Starter - No bet. If a player tees off, then that player will count as a runner. If that player subsequently retires he will be settled as a loser.
- Play offs will determine win bets. Each Way bets - dead heat rules may apply.
- Should a tournament be affected by adverse weather or shortened for any reason the official result will govern settlement irrespective of the number of rounds completed.
- If a bet is struck and there is no further play, or further play does not count for the official result, those bets will be made void.
- Tournament Match Bets: A price will be offered for the tie and in the event of a tie, bets on either player to win will be lost. Play Offs will count for settlement purposes, should one player win the event.
If one player misses the cut, the other is deemed the winner. If both players miss the cut, then the one with the lowest score will be deemed the winner. If a player is disqualified, either prior to the completion of two rounds or after both players have made the cut, the other player is deemed the winner. If a player is disqualified after making the cut, when his opponent has already missed the cut, the disqualified player is deemed the winner. If a player withdraws or is disqualified, either prior to the completion of two rounds or after both players have made the cut, the other player is deemed the winner. If a player withdraws or is disqualified after making the cut, when his opponent has already missed the cut, the player that has withdrawn or is disqualified is deemed the winner. - In the event of the actual 2 ball, 3 ball, or group being different from those advertised by us, bets will stand on the finishing positions of our original pairings.
- 3 ball betting: If a player does not start the round, then the 3 ball will be void. Dead-heat rules will apply. Once all players have started the round they are deemed runners.
- 2 ball betting: A price will be offered for the tie. Once both players have started the round they are deemed runners. If a player withdraws during the round his/her opponent will be deemed the winner as long as they complete the round in full.
- In a team competition e.g. Ryder Cup, if a match is not completed, bets will be settled on the official result declared by the competitions governing body.
- Finishing Position Markets: Where the official finishing position is tied, for example 4 players sharing 10th place, the finishing position for settlement purposes will be 10th place.

We reserve the right to suspend any or all betting on a game at any time without notice. Each-way Betting Bets are settled to win unless Each-way is selected. An Each-way bet is a bet of twice the selected unit stake. It contains one bet of unit stake on the selection to Win and one bet of unit stake on the selection to be Placed according to the terms advertised for the event. In general, for UK horse racing the Place part of Each-way bets will be settled as per the following Place terms:
Handicaps - 16 or more runners one quarter the odds - first four Places Handicaps - 12 - 15 runners one quarter the odds - first three Places All other races of 8 or more runners one fifth the odds - first three Places Races of 5, 6 or 7 runners - one quarter the odds - first two Places Less than 5 runners - the Place money is invested to Win
In all races the number of runners shall be the number of runners coming under starters orders. Win bets will always equal the Place bets in Each way. Bets will not be accepted where the Place stake exceeds the Win stake. Each-way doubles, trebles and accumulators will be settled Win to Win and Place to Place in accordance with the above.
Ante-Post Ante-Post wagers are accepted on the basis all-in run or not, entered or not. Except where specifically stated otherwise, stakes are lost on an Ante-Post bet if a selection does not take part and no Tattersall's Rule 4(c) deductions are made from winning Ante-Post bets.
When the same horse is taken to win two or more races in Ante-Post doubles, trebles and accumulators special reduced odds will be offered.
On days when classic or other trials occur, Ante-Post betting may be suspended and new prices issued.
Jockey Club Rule 121 decrees that Stewards are empowered to reduce the numbers in a race if, at the overnight declaration stage, too many have been left in for the safety of horses and jockeys. Ante-Post bets on horses compulsorily withdrawn will be void and stakes returned. Bookmakers in these circumstances are authorised to make appropriate deductions from winning bets on the race, depending on the price(s) of the withdrawn horse(s) at the time of withdrawal in accordance with Tattersalls Rule 4(c). On the 'Day of the Race Prices' Tattersalls Rule 4(c) will also apply.
Ante-Post bets are settled at the Price and Place terms applicable at the time of acceptance. Should a wrong Price or Place terms be given in error we reserve the right to settle the bet at the correct Price/Place terms that were available at the time the bet was struck.
Should a wager struck at a price on the day of an event couple selection(s) in that event with selection(s) in future event(s) then if the first selection(s) does not run the wager will be executed on the remaining selection(s) on the basis of all-in, run or not.
Postponed Races If a race is postponed to another day and final declarations stand then bets stand. However, single bets on horse racing will be made void and any selection involved in accumulative bets will be treated as a non-runner if:
- The race is abandoned. - The race is officially declared void. - The conditions of the race are altered after bets are made (as defined under Tattersalls rules). - The venue is altered. - The running surface is altered (e.g. Turf to Dirt/All Weather or vice versa).
Dead-Heats Where two selections dead-heat half the stake money is lost and the full odds are paid to the other half. If more than two dead-heat the stake is proportioned accordingly.
Favourites Wagers will be accepted win only at starting price for 1st and 2nd favourites. The Place part of any wager inadvertently accepted for unnamed favourites will be settled as a Win stake.
In the event of two selections starting joint-favourites then stakes are divided equally. Where three or more selections start co-favourites stakes will be divided proportionately.
However, if such joint favourites or co-favourites are returned at a price whereby, irrespective of result, no profit could be accrued by the backer of the favourite, the unnamed favourite will be treated as a non-runner, in both single and accumulative bets.
Should the favourite be withdrawn before coming under starter's orders but too late for a new market to be formed then bets on the favourite in that particular race are void. In the event a joint or co-favourite being withdrawn then the proportion of stakes on that selection will be void and the remaining proportion of stakes will be divided equally on the selections that do run.
Forecast Betting Forecasts are accepted for all races of 3 or more actual runners and will be settled as a straight forecast (selections to finish 1st and 2nd in correct order) in accordance with the computer straight forecast dividend. If there are less than 3 actually running in a race then all forecasts for that race will be void. In the event of no straight forecast dividend being declared then forecasts will be settled in accordance with the NSL straight forecast chart provided that 3 or more actually run in that race.
You may take early prices or show prices in straight forecasts when available, in a fixed price forecast. If any withdrawals result in a total Rule 4 deduction of 10p in £ or greater then a fixed price forecast will be settled at the computer forecast dividend.
Where a customer selects combination forecasts A B C and stakes for 6 bets this will be settled as 6 straight forecasts as follows: - AB BA - AC CA - BC CB
Forecast bets are not accepted containing unnamed favourites.Should any forecast contain a non-runner then the total stake will be placed to Win on the other selection. In fixed price forecasts the remaining selection will be settled at SP.
In races where a horse finishes alone and no forecast dividend is returned then all forecast bets nominating that horse to finish first will be settled as a Win single at SP on the winning horse.
All other forecast bets in the race are lost.In the event of two or more horses dead-heating for first or second place then separate dividends will be declared and paid to each qualifying forecast.
In fixed price forecasts the full odds will be paid with the stake split according to the number of horses which dead-heat.
Tricast Betting Bets on horses to finish 1st, 2nd and 3rd in correct order, are accepted in singles only in races for which an official Computer Tricast return is declared. Stakes for any Tricast double, treble, etc accepted in error will be divided equally to cover each Tricast race in Tricast singles only. Selections should be named, although race card numbers will be accepted provided there can be only one interpretation of the required selections. In the event of any ambiguity the Tricast will be declared void.
A) Instructions for permutations must be specific; otherwise, the bet will be settled as a Straight Tricast to the stake available.
B) Tricasts will be settled in accordance with the official Computer Tricast return.
C) Should selections for the Tricast include one non-runner; the stake will be invested as a Computer Straight Forecast on the remaining two selections in the order written, with the non-runner being discounted. For the purpose of settlement, In the case of combination tricasts the total stake will be invested as a reversed forecast on the remaining two selections. It should be noted that a permutation is a series of Straight Tricasts. Should selection for a Tricast include two non-runners, the stake will be void.
D) If, for any reason, a Tricast is taken for a race for which an official Computer Tricast return is not declared, where all three selections run, settlement will be made as a Computer Straight Forecast on the selections nominated to finish 1st and 2nd, with the selection for 3rd being discounted. IN THE EVENT OF A COMBINATION TRICAST, THE BET WILL BE SETTLED AS A COMBINATION COMPUTER STRAIGHT FORECAST.
E) Any Tricast which contains an unnamed favourite, that selection will be settled as a non-runner.
F) Tricasts will be settled in accordance with the official computerised return.
Show/Board Prices Should a horse be withdrawn no show/board price will be laid after the time of withdrawal unless the market is reformed.
Early Morning Prices/Day of Event Prices After the final declarations stage, non-runner no-bet. Rule 4 will apply.
Reserves In races with reserves, any bets taken prior to a reserve horse being declared to run and if the reserve was not priced up at the time the bet was placed, then any such bets will be settled on the result 'without the reserve runner(s)'. Each way bets settled on the result "without the reserve runner(s)" will be based on the number of runners, excluding reserves, that start the race. In races where reserves are priced but do not run, no rule 4 will be applicable.
Withdrawals Other Than Ante-Post Where a horse is withdrawn before coming under starter's orders, or is officially deemed by the starter to have taken no part in the race, then stakes will be returned on the withdrawn horse and winning bets will be subject to deductions in accordance with Tattersalls' Rule 4(c). The rate of deduction will be based on the price of the withdrawn horse at the time of its withdrawal on the following scale:
Deduction table for withdrawals other than Ante-Post 1/9 or shorter - £0.90 2/11 to 2/17 - £0.85 1/4 to 1/5 - £0.80 3/10 to 2/7 - £0.75 2/5 to 1/3 - £0.70 8/15 to 4/9 - £0.65 8/13 to 4/7 - £0.60 4/5 to 4/6 - £0.55 20/21 to 5/6 - £0.50 EVS to 6/5 - £0.45 5/4 to 6/4 - £0.40 8/5 to 7/4 - £0.35 9/5 to 9/4 - £0.30 12/5 to 3/1 - £0.25 16/5 to 4/1 - £0.20 9/2 to 11/2 - £0.15 6/1 to 9/1 - £0.10 10/1 to 14/1 - 5p over 14/1 no deduction
In the event of two or more horses being withdrawn before coming under starter's orders then the total deductions shall not exceed £0.90 in £.
Should a horse be withdrawn and a new market formed then any bets laid at show prices prior to the new show will be subject to the above deductions. In the event of a further withdrawal after the market has been re-formed then bets placed at show prices in the original market will be subject to a further deduction based on the price of the withdrawn horse in the original market. Bets placed in the new market will be subject to a deduction based on the current price.
The above scale will also apply in the case of non-runners in early price races and will be used for other events where we specifically advertise that deductions in line with Tattersalls Rule 4(c) will apply.
Re-Runs In the event of a false start, etc. resulting in a race being re-run, 'under starter's orders' is negated and stakes will be refunded on horses taking no part in the re-run. Returns on the remaining runners subject to Tattersalls Rule 4(c). The number of runners taking part in the re-run governs Place terms.
Walkovers and Void Horse Races Walkovers and void races count as races but any horse so involved will be treated as a non-runner for settlement purposes.

Non UK and Ireland For some of the major overseas horse races an industry SP and forecast/tricast may be declared. In these cases, if no price is taken and Tote (Pari-Mutuel) is not requested, then bets will be settled based on the industry declared SP and forecast/tricast dividends. Normal place terms will apply for Each-way betting.
The above also applies to bets placed for racing in Dubai.
Australia The official result for settling purposes will be the result declared by NSW Tote. Forecast bets will be settled on the Exacta result given. All winning dividends will be declared in a Tote format.
France and Italy Pari-Mutuel dividends are paid to a 1 stake unit and both Win and Each-way are accepted.
South Africa SPs are returned and normal Each-way terms apply.
Coupled Horses Some horses may be coupled in all Tote pools. If a bet is placed on two or more coupled selections and one is a non-runner then the bet will stand on the remaining selection(s). When coupled horses finish first and second (1-1A or vice versa) then for settlement purposes Exactas and Quinellas will apply to the 3rd place horse.

Exactas and Trifectas Predict either the first two or first three finishers in the race in correct order. Should any Exacta or Trifecta include a non-runner the bet will be void.
Placepot Where a nominated selection is a non-runner it will be replaced with the SP favourite - where there are joint or co-favourites the lowest racecard number will be taken. If the favourite is withdrawn before coming under starters orders and too late for a new market to be formed then the horse returned at the next shortest price will be taken as the selection. Where 2 or more horses are returned at the next shortest price then the one with the lowest racecard number will be taken.
In the event of a Placepot pool being cancelled bets will be void.
Quadpot Where a nominated selection is a non-runner it will be replaced with the SP favourite - where there are joint or co-favourites the lowest racecard number will be taken. In the event of a Jackpot pool being cancelled bets will be void.
Scoop6 Where a nominated selection is a non-runner it will be replaced with the SP favourite - where there are joint or co-favourites the lowest racecard number will be taken. If the favourite is withdrawn before coming under starters orders and too late for a new market to be formed, the horse returned at the next shortest price will be taken as the selection. Where 2 or more horses are returned at the next shortest price, then the one with the lowest racecard number will be taken.
In the event of a Scoop6 pool being cancelled bets will be void.
Swinger Select two horses to finish in the first three places - are accepted in races of six or more runners nominated by Tote Direct.
Un-named selections (e.g. the favourite) are not accepted in Swinger bets. Bets that include a non-runner or a non-Swinger race or where the field is reduced to less than four runners will be void and stakes refunded. Should the actual number of runners be reduced to only 4 or 5, a dividend will only be paid on the first and second placed horses. For Swinger bets, the minimum unit stake is 10p.

Fraud Bodog will seek criminal and contractual sanctions against any customer involved in fraud, dishonesty or criminal acts. Bodog will withhold payment to any customer where any of these are suspected. The customer shall indemnify and shall be liable to pay to Bodog, on demand, all costs, charges or losses sustained or incurred by Bodog (including any direct, indirect or consequential losses, loss of profit and loss of reputation) arising directly or indirectly from the customer’s fraud, dishonesty or criminal act.
Bodog reserve the right to withhold payment and to declare bets on an event void if we have evidence that the following has occurred: (i) the integrity of the event has been called into question (ii) the price(s) or pool has been manipulated (iii) matchrigging has taken place. Evidence of the above may be based on the size, volume or pattern of bets placed with Bodog across any or all of our betting channels. A decision given by the relevant governing body of the sport in question (if any) will be conclusive. If any customer owes any money to Bodog for any reason, we have the right to take that into account before making any payments to that customer.
Where there is evidence of a series of bets each containing the same selection(s) having been placed by or for the same individual or syndicate of individuals, Bodog reserves the right to make bets void or withhold payment of returns pending the outcome of any subsequent investigation.
If for any reason we are unable to validate the outcome of a particular market (eg. due to loss of live pictures), all bets will be void, unless settlement of bets is already determined.
Where a customer gives ambiguous instructions Bodog reserves the right to split the amount of monies staked between the potential outcomes. Where this is impractical we reserve the right to void the whole of that bet. In any event the decision of Bodog is final.
In the absence of any independent evidence bets will be settled based on our own statistics.
Bodog reserves the right to close or suspend a customer's account.
We only accept bets made online or by telephone at Bodog. Bets are not accepted in any other form (post, email, fax, etc.) and where received will be void - win or lose.
It is the responsibility of the customer to ensure details of their bets are correct. Once bets have been placed and their acceptance confirmed they may not be cancelled or changed by the customer.
For telephone bets 'acceptance confirmed' will be deemed only after an operator has completed a full read back of the bet details and confirmed to the customer that the bet has been processed.
- We reserve the right to suspend any or all betting on a game at any time without notice.
- Official results: A match must go at least full time minus 5 minutes to be considered valid. If this is not the case, all bets are considered void apart from those which have been unconditionally determined. If a match is postponed and rescheduled to be played within 36 hours of the original date then all bets will stand.
- Handicap betting: The method used for settling such a bet is the match result adjusted by the handicap available at the time the bet is struck. E.g. Sheffield Steelers +3 v Nottingham Panthers -3. Result: Sheffield Steelers 27-34 Nottingham Panthers. Nottingham Panthers win on the handicap as they won by 7 clear points and the handicap was 3. In the event of the scores being level following the handicap being applied all stakes are refunded (where applicable).
- Any un-played or postponed match will be treated as a 'non-runner' for settling purposes, unless it is played within 48 hours of the original start time.
If the venue of a match is other than indicated on our website the bet will stand provided the match has not been switched to the opponent's ground, in which case the match will be declared void.

The start of any race is defined as the signal to start the warm-up lap. We will settle individual race betting on the result of the podium presentation, regardless of any subsequent disqualifications. If a race is abandoned and no official result is declared, all bets on that race will be void. Ride offs do not count for settlement purposes. Outright Championship betting: This will be settled based on the points tally immediately after the podium presentation of the final event of the championship. This will not be affected by any enquiries which then take place. Qualifying Betting Markets: Markets on the qualifying performance will be settled according to the positions and times set during the final qualifying session. For the purposes of the qualifying markets, any subsequent adjustments of grid positions shall be ignored. Match (Head to Head) betting: If one of the riders does not finish the race, the other rider is considered the winner. If neither rider finishes the race, then the rider who completed the most laps is the winner. If both riders complete the same number of laps but do not finish the race, all bets are void. Group betting: If one or more of the riders do not finish the race in a group bet, the winner will be the rider who has completed the most laps or finished the first out of the group.

We accept singles on all games unless otherwise stated. Unless otherwise stated all rugby bets are settled on 80 minutes play, which includes any injury time added on by the referee. Where odds for both outright and handicap betting are available, all bets will be settled on the outright price unless you have specifically requested handicap betting at the time your bet was placed. However, where only handicap betting is available all bets will be settled on the advertised Handicap price and conditions. Winning margin/correct score betting is from the beginning of the game. If a match is abandoned before 80 minutes are played, all bets on that match are void, except for those markets which have been unconditionally determined. First try scorer bets will stand if a try has been scored at the time the match is abandoned. For Example: Peter Stringer scores a try just before the match is postponed due to bad weather. If you have placed a bet on Peter Stringer to be the first try scorer, your bet will still be valid. If a match is postponed and rescheduled to take place within 48 hours of the original start time, your bet on the match will stand unless cancelled by mutual consent of both teams. If the match is no longer playing at the venue advertised, your bet will still stand as long as it is played at a neutral venue. This applies as long as the venue has not been changed to the opponent's ground (or in the case of international matches, as long as the venue remains in the same country). First try scorer betting: Penalty tries do not count. In rugby league, where an interchange system is used, bets are accepted all in play or not. In rugby union, bets will be void if a player has not entered the field of play when the first try is scored. Anytime try scorer betting: Bets will stand if a player takes any part in a game, no matter how long they play for. Money will be refunded only if a player does not enter the field of play at any stage. Extra time betting: Extra Time is defined as any scheduled period of play between the end of normal time (i.e. 80 minutes play plus any time added on at the end of 80 minutes) and the end of the game. All Extra Time betting markets, such as total points, or time of first try will start from the beginning of extra time and not include normal time. For example, if the game finishes 24-24 at the end of normal time, and if there are ten points scored in extra time, then the extra time total points market will be settled as ten points.
A snooker match is deemed to have started with the break for the first frame. If a player fails to start a tournament or match, all bets on that player, or individual match, will be void. Correct Frame betting: If the full numbers of frames in a match are not completed, we will settle your bets on the correct frame score as void and refund your stake. Match betting: If one player withdraws or is disqualified and the match has already started, the player progressing to the next round will be considered the winner. If the match has not yet started all bets are void. First colour potted: First colour potted in any given frame will be settled according to the first colour (one of yellow, green, brown, blue, pink or black) legitimately potted and scoring its full value (i.e. not in the course of a foul stroke, and not as a free ball).
We will cover a wide variety of special events ranging from Christmas specials to entertainment, political, and other non-sporting events. Rules for each individual market will be displayed on our web site and text services. Unless detailed in these Special Bet Rules the maximum amount that can be won on any special bet is governed by the conditions detailed in our maximum winnings table. Ante post selections may not be included in any special bet. Any special bets taken in error that include ante post selections will be settled without the bonuses or consolations.
Match Betting: Predict the winner(s) of the match between the two/four players. In the event of a change in venue all bets will stand. If there is a change in the number of sets played Match bets will stand.
- A Tennis match is deemed to have started with the first serve of the match.
- All future bets for outright tournament betting purposes stand. Bets on players that withdraw from an event at any stage will be settled as losers.
- Match betting:
The match must be completed for match bets to stand. For example: Roger Federer retires injured while 2 sets ahead in his match. The match is void and all stakes on Federer and his opponent are returned. - Set betting:
The full number of sets required to win the match must be completed. If a player is awarded the match prior to the full number of sets being completed, all Correct Set betting on that match will be void. - Total games:
Bet on whether the total number of games in a match will be over or under a particular number, e.g. 21 or less/ 22 or over. If a player is awarded the match prior to the full number of sets being completed, all 'total games' bets on that match will be void. - Handicap betting:
This bet is based on a number of games head start a player is given in a match, for example 3.5 games. If the player with the handicap (3.5 games head start) loses 7-6, 7-6, 7-6, this would be deemed the winner for betting purposes as the opponent has failed to win the match by 4 clear games. - To win first Set:
If a player retires or is disqualified before the first set is completed then all bets are void. If the first set is completed and a player retires or is disqualified after that then all bets stand.
The result as declared at the end of the fight will be used for settlement purposes and any subsequent alterations to that result will not be taken in to account.
If a match is abandoned before regular time is played, all bets on that match are void. If a match is postponed and rescheduled to take place within 48 hours of the original start time, all bets stand. If the match is no longer playing at the venue advertised, your bet will still stand. This applies as long as the venue has not been changed to the opponent's ground.
Upon postponement of any event (e.g. due to bad weather) all bets stand until the event takes place. If the event is abandoned, all bets are void. If a competitor drops out just before the start of the event, stakes are not refunded. All bets are paid out on podium positions. All head to head and group betting options require all competitors to leave the start line for bets to stand. Postponed or abandoned events: If an event (other than an Olympic or World Championship event) is postponed or abandoned all bets on that event will be void unless the event is completed within 48 hours of the original start time, or an official result is declared within 48 hours by the governing body. If an Olympic or World Championship event is postponed or abandoned then all bets on that event will be void unless the event is completed before the closing ceremony of the games. Head to head betting: If either or both competitors in a Head to Head bet, do not start then all bets are void and all stakes are refunded. If a competitor involved in a Head to Head bet starts a competition but is forced to withdraw after starting, then the other competitor will be considered to have won the Head to Head. In this case all bets on the competitor that has withdrawn are losing bets and all bets on the competitor that remains in the competition are winning bets. If neither competitor completes the event, then Head to Head bets are void and all stakes are refunded. Shooting Head to Head betting: Both competitors involved in a shooting head to head bet have to finish the race for the bet to stand. Nordic combined Head to Head betting: Both skiers must start both sections of the event (ski jumping and cross country) or bets will be void. Ski jumping Head to Head betting: The competitor must complete one valid jump for a competitor to achieve a result for the event, qualification included. The dead heat rule applies to bets on an event where there is more than one winner, or the result ends in a draw or tie when no draw or tie price was available.
